The vibrant reds and oranges present in Mark Rothko’s Untitled remind us that the days are getting longer. It’s time to prepare our body and heart to welcome the spring. We will practice asanas that embody the energy of this season; we will combine conscious movement and breathing techniques that will take us on a symbolic journey toward a space of stillness related to the spring season. Through these exercises, children will learn to relax and develop a better understanding of their own body while increasing their attention span and perception of their environment.
Aimed at the whole family, these classes use art and yoga poses to play, share, and connect. Art can help us all—kids and adults alike—attain wellbeing, improve our quality of life, and develop our emotional intelligence. This activity will give the little ones, and the grown-ups with them, the chance to connect to their creative essence as they explore conscious movement.
