Sensory Play: Feel, Play, Create (Ages 6–10 )

This sensory workshop, inspired by El Anatsui’s Rising Sea, will stimulate your senses by resorting to the dynamics of play and creation.

You will play games involving all five senses — sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch — and activating body movement. Thus, you will discover new ways of connecting to the world around you. In an immersive sensory experience, you will dive into a symbolic sea leading to a magical world, filled with possibilities and surprises. As you explore this world, you will be encouraged to think about the importance of recycling, giving materials a new life and meaning, and transforming reality along the way.

Let your senses guide you in this journey through play, movement, and creation as you handle a wide range of materials, exploring their textures, shapes, and purposes. Giving free rein to creativity and spontaneity, you will connect with your emotions and sense of wonder as you experience the transformative power of art and imagination.
