American dancer and choreographer Mark Morris staged this show at the Teatro Real in 2014, with conductor Jane Glover and sopranos Sarah-Jane Brandon and Elizabeth Watts, tenor James Gilchrist, and bass-baritone Andrew Foster-Williams, as well as the resident choir and orchestra of the Teatro Real, performing Händel’s L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato. Thirty-two scenes in two acts, inspired by William Blake’s paintings.
