Creative Lab: Color Dreams

We will dive into Tarsila do Amaral’s fascinating world of vibrant colors. In some of the artist’s paintings, we sense the presence of something dreamlike, almost surreal. Tarsila was sometimes inspired by her dreams or by the stories she heard as a child. We will take our time to look at her pieces, gazing slowly, inquiring about them, and imagining stories that send us spiraling into dreams. We will look at the colors she used—in her saffron and ochre houses, or the greens of the fields that gleam under her blue sky.

In this workshop, we will work with vibrant shades and discover how colors can spark different feelings and emotions. Come and experience first-hand the power of color in a unique and fun way!
