A sound fiction experience with Dolores Redondo, one of today’s greatest Spanish authors: the adaptation of her novel Awaiting the Flood to sound fiction. An event produced by Audible.
This activity opens a window into a different type of creative process, taking you one step further in the joy of literature: Mar Abad’s adaptation of the best-selling novel Awaiting the Flood, by Dolores Redondo, to sound fiction. The novel is set in Bilbao, against the background of the worst flooding in the Basque Country in 1983. Redondo and Abad will discuss the process that led from the book to the audiobook, involving a large cast with big names: Víctor Clavijo, Jorge Machín, Aitor de Kintana, Nahia Laiz, Telmo Irureta, Eli León, and others. In the words of Dolores Redondo, “voice can make a character believable, shaping their personality when a story is told.” The audience will be able to listen to a few excerpts from the audiobook released by Audible.
