Arte & acción. Sunday, March 2
Creating a performance and being part of it will help us think like artists. Performance is a genre that invites exploration and interaction, a participatory and open form of art. Its four fundamental pillars are body, space, time, and shared presence. In a practical and fun way, we will play with these four concepts to familiarize ourselves with the genre. This will make it easier for us to dive and delve into the creative process to create our own performance later.
First, we will analyze the ways in which artists use performance, exploring the richness of their artistic languages. Then, we will move through the space, tackling several challenges designed to discover the possibilities of movement and expressiveness of our body. From a static posture, in which we take on the appearance of trees swaying in the wind, we will become animals making our way through the jungle. This will help us to track the space with our body and reflect on how we feel in it.
The concept of time and our perception of it will also be part of this experience. Interaction with others, mutual trust, along with the use of music and sound will enrich this work.
Participants will not be limited to representing, reproducing, or imitating. Instead, they will convey their own messages through the art medium they choose freely, giving free rein to their creativity. The final performance might integrate sound, light, color, movement, words… The activity seeks to diversify artistic experiences in several areas, while promoting social and communication skills.

Art & Movement. Sunday, March 9
Drawing Movement focuses on exploring the relationship between art and the body. Not only will we draw with our hands; our whole body will participate in the creative act. With activities such as jumping, rolling, laughing, dancing, or moving through the space, we will experience how our physical action can influence the graphic stroke and vice versa.
Through a series of free-form intuitive exercises, which require hardly any tools, you will make your mark with colorful paintings while you move. And best of all, you don’t even need to know how to draw or dance: You can create lines, blobs, and marks with the simplest activities, even just through the movement of air.
We offer you a space to play, experiment and create, giving free rein to your imagination and exploring the potential of the body as an artistic tool. You can move with your family, with your partner, alone, or even with a complete stranger if you’re feeling bold. This is a unique opportunity to discover what certain shapes, colors, and sounds suggest and to explore the relationship between your movement, space, and graphic signs through a deeply immersive experience.
This approach offers both children and adults alike an opportunity to explore the unity between two languages that are often considered separate: Movement and drawing. It promotes free exploration, the connection between mind and body, and the development of a more holistic creativity.
Inspired by the research process of Simona Lobefaro and Alessandro Lumare (Segni Mossi), the workshop fosters free expression and the human urge to make their mark. Come and make yours! In an exciting and playful way that is guaranteed to make you laugh!
