RITA PAYÉS
Born to a family of musicians, Rita Payés was one of the emerging talents of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, the youth jazz band from Barcelona, breeding ground of talented musicians like Andrea Motis, Èlia Bastida, Magalí Datzira, and others. She released her first solo album, Como la piel, in 2021, thus launching her international career. The album combined jazz with bolero, bossa nova, classical and folk music. Songs like “Algo contigo” hit 52 million plays on Spotify, while others, like “Nunca vas a comprender”, had nearly 7 million views on YouTube and 1.3 million monthly listeners.
In her third album, De camino al camino, Rita takes a look at beauty in everyday life while connecting to her music roots, drawing on a variety of styles and influences with a common thread: the road (camino). With a well-established musical project and the support of renowned musical artists, Payés invites us all to join her on the road, in a trip where feeling, skill, and tradition are aptly intertwined.
