Enrolls in the faculty of fine arts at the Universidad del País Vasco; will graduate in 2000.

Sádaba’s first solo exhibition, ¡000002 murciélagos!, is held at Mina Espazio in Bilbao.

Awarded a Leonardo da Vinci grant by Confebask in Bilbao.

Enrolls in a master’s program in advertising art direction at the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid.

Receives a grant from the Fundación Bilbao Arte Fundazioa in Bilbao. Inaugurates the installation Siento EGO existo at the Centro de Arte Ego in Madrid. Mounts the installations Here and There at the Fundação de Serralves in Porto and La mirada at the Fundación Marcelino Botín in Santander, Spain.

Receives a grant for plastic arts from the provincial government of Vizcaya. Receives a Laus award for communication and design and is a finalist in the Purificación García photography competition. Exhibits at the Centro Cultural Bastero Kulturgunea in Andoain, Spain; Espacio Abisal in Bilbao; and Galería Fernando Pradilla in Madrid.

Receives a grant for plastic arts from the Basque government. Sádaba’s work is included in the exhibitions accompanying the Premio Ertibil de Artes Plásticas, sponsored by the provincial government of Vizcaya, and the XXXII Premio Bancaixa de Pintura, Escultura y Arte Digital in Valencia, Spain. Exhibits at Galería Altamira in Gijón, Spain, and Espacio Marzana and Fundación Bilbao Arte Fundazioa, both in Bilbao. Sádaba’s work is included in the exhibition Antirrealismos: Spanish Photomedia Now at the Australian Centre for Photography in Sydney; the exhibition later travels to Hobart, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide, Australia, and New Plymouth, New Zealand.

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs awards Sádaba a postgraduate study grant. Exhibits at Galería JM in Málaga, Spain, and Witzenhausen Gallery in Amsterdam. Sádaba’s work is shown in the exhibitions Oracle of Truth at Aeroplastics Contemporary in Brussels and Miradas de mujer at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Esteban Vicente in Segovia, Spain. Receives a Director’s Fund Scholarship from the International Center of Photography in New York.

Exhibits at Casa Torre de Ariz in Basauri, Spain, Galería El Museo in Bogotá, and Galería JM in Málaga, Spain. Shows the projection series Producciones at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid. Sádaba’s work is included in exhibitions at Christopher Cutts Gallery and the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, both in Toronto, the Sala Rekalde in Bilbao, and Artium, Centro Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo in Vitoria, Spain.

Has a solo exhibition, The Expulsion from Paradise, at Witzenhausen Gallery in Amsterdam. Sádaba’s work is included in the exhibitions Chacun à son goût at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and Existencias at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León in León, Spain.

Exhibits at Galería Altamira in Gijón, Spain. Her work is shown in the exhibitions The Fabulous Life of… at Witzenhausen Gallery in Amsterdam and The Art of Caring: A Look at Life Through Photography at the New Orleans Museum of Art.

Her work is exhibited at Espacio Marzana, Bilbao.

The exhibition Following the History of Representation opens at the Witzenhausen Gallery, Amsterdam. The artist’s work is featured in the group exhibition Olor Color. Sádaba currently resides in New York and is working on a project through the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP).
