The video Goierri Konpeti, created with Iñaki Garmendia, premieres at the Kutxa in San Sebastián. Takes part in the Taipei Biennale and in Desartxibo publicación para memoria, an exhibition celebrating the reopening of Arteleku in San Sebastián.

Arizko Dorrea in Basauri, Spain, presents the solo exhibition Überbau/basauri. Mendizabal’s work is included in the exhibition Nulles 05: Representacions rurals in Nulles, Tarragona, Spain.

Exhibits at Galería Carreras Múgica in Bilbao and at Artis in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands (Not All That Moves [Is Red]). Coordinates the workshop “Ficciones pleglables: Ciclo de cine,” devoted to the work of Jørgen Leth and Dan Holmberg, at Arteleku in San Sebastián.

Awarded the Ojo Crítico de Artes Plásticas 2010 prize by “El Ojo Crítico”, a program dedicated to cultural affairs broadcast on Spanish National Radio. Fundação Culturgest, Lisbon, inaugurates and/or , the first exhibition dedicated to the artist outside of Spain. Artium Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo, Vitoria-Gasteiz, presents the exhibition Gure Artea XXXX. Iratxe Jaio / Klaas van Gorkum, Asier Mendizabal, Xabier Salaberria .

The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, dedicates a show to the artist as part of the program FISURAS, and purchases six of the artist’s pieces at Madrid’s contemporary art fair ARCO Participates in the 54th Venice Biennial , where his works Soft Focus, Hard Edge, Benta-Haundi and Signals, Calls and Marches are featured in the 2011 International Art Exhibition.
