Works on Paper is a double exhibition of drawings from the Permanent Collection shown in two presentations: the first with drawings by Agnes Martin, Ellsworth Kelly, James Rosenquist, and Jack Youngerman; the second with works by Robert Morris. Both shows highlight the creative production and concerns of the group of artists working in the New York district of Coenties Slip in the late 1950s and early 60s. These artists shared a number of artistic aims, and distanced themselves from the Abstract Expressionism that dominated the US art scene of the time.
