Richard Long

English artist Richard Long translates his profoundly personal experiences of nature to site-specific sculptures and mural drawings in clay created for private collections and display areas. Works done in stone, slate, feathers, pine needles, planks and other rustic materials are transformed into metaphors of the paths covered during his long, solitary walks: if they were prolonged beyond the gallery walls, Long's spirals, circles and lines would mark out real distances the artist himself has covered.
