1994 Her giant yellow sculpture Pumpkin was installed on Naoshima Island.

2002 She published her autobiography in Japanese.

2004 Her immersive KUSAMATRIX exhibition was held at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo.

2017 The Yayoi Kusama Museum opened in Tokyo.

2020 Infinity Mirrored Room – A Wish for Human Happiness Calling from Beyond the Universe was presented at the Yayoi Kusama Museum.

Today, Kusama lives and works in Tokyo, participating in major retrospective exhibitions and art events around the world. She is the recipient of numerous international prizes and awards.
