1963 In Aggregation: One Thousand Boats Show, Kusama exhibited work from her Accumulations series—soft sculptures of row boat—in a gallery entirely covered with a wallpaper where a white boat motif was repeated over and over again.
1965 The artist exhibited her first Infinity Mirror Room – Phalli’s Field (or Floor Show).
1966 She carried out her unofficial Narcissus Garden performance at the premises of the 33rd Venice Biennale.
1968 Presentation of Kusama’s Self-obliteration (1967), a film documenting the happenings she carried out at the time and which pointed out the changes the artist demanded from society. She established Kusama Fashion Incorporated and started to sell her designs in department stores in the metropolitan area in New York in 1969.
