Inspired by the works in the Museum, these sensory workshops will stimulate your senses and raise your self-awareness by resorting to play.
Why use your eyes and feet to explore Richard Serra’s wonderful labyrinths when you can use all your senses? In this activity inspired by Serra’s The Matter of Time, we will stimulate our senses to explore Serra’s sculptures using touch, smell, hearing, interoception, and proprioception. Quite an adventure for both children and their parents! The Matter of Time has a powerful effect on the way we perceive space, time, matter, and movement. The possibilities for play are endless: lights and shadows, forms and textures, paths and walls… And as you play, you will find yourself thinking about the present and the passage of time. Handling a wide range of materials, you will experience different sensations in your body, and creativity, spontaneity, wonder, and play will be the channels to connect to what you feel.
