Wonder, an emotion often aroused by art, will be the common thread in this non-directive play activity using spare-part installations inspired by the works of Hilma af Klint to evoke a universe in which everyday objects take on new meanings beyond their original purpose.
What can you find in this room? A series of art installations made with items you will be familiar with—ribbons, boxes, textiles, wires, bowls, etc.— which you can explore and handle in an endless, permeable game where things change as you interact with everything around you, with other participants, and with the objects at hand.
In this game, you can change whatever you want at will. Play Matters—a concept to explore the ability to go beyond what is personal and transitory through play. This play experience feeds on the human tendency to manipulate variables, follow your curiosity, and answer the ever-renewing question “What if…?,” kindling your imagination in the stimulating environment provided by the Museum.
This activity is meant to be ephemeral, happening in the here and now, without materializing in something permanent, inviting you to explore and create at your own pace as you partake in the global excitement spurred by the game.
