Aimed at the whole family, these classes use art and yoga poses to play, share, and connect. Art can help us all – kids and adults alike – attain wellbeing, improve our quality of life, and develop our emotional intelligence. By doing breathing exercises and trying poses inspired by the Museum’s works of art, kids learn to focus on their bodies and the world around them.
How do I feel? How do you feel? This month, in our yoga classes you will plunge into the emotions shown by Yoshitomo Nara’s characters. Nara’s big-headed, big-eyed girls – cheeky, sad, and, in later years, calm and thoughtful – are a visual representation of the artist’s emotions and thoughts. These yoga classes will give the little ones and the grown-ups with them the chance to connect to their creative essence as they explore conscious movement.
