Books Alive! Stars and Symbols

Get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure across the Museum! This time, we will explore the cosmos, listening to the fascinating stories told by Hilma af Klint’s paintings. A pioneer of abstraction, the Swedish artist drew inspiration from the universe to produce works like nothing you have seen before: colorful, flashy, containing very little reference to the physical world. We will listen to captivating stories about her life and then, inspired by them, we will make paintings that tell unique stories using our own symbols for surprising and mysterious effects.
