HANIA RANI
Hania Rani, pianist, composer and singer, is part of a generation of young performers that goes beyond classical piano. She has managed to develop her own distinctive style that transcends the conventional limits of the instrument, always from a minimalist and avant-garde point of view that sometimes approaches experimental electronics. Her ability to create soundscapes is also reflected in her work as a composer of soundtracks, including the series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. Rani has been distinguished on multiple occasions at the Fryderyk Awards, considered equivalent to the Grammy Awards in Poland, her country of origin. In Ghosts, the album she released in October, she finds new stories to share, performing with the likes of Patrick Watson (“Dancing with Ghosts”) and Ólafur Arnalds (“Whispering House”).
