The Museum is staging a set of two performances from Japan competing in the 21st International Festival for Emerging Performing Artists – ACT Festival.
In the first place, a 15-minute solo dance performance by Kenji Shinohe, dancer and choreographer based in Düsseldorf, Germany, focusing on the process of “symbolizing feelings.” It will be followed by The Life of Hokusai, a 30-minute non-verbal theatrical performance by The Life of Hokusai Committee resorting to geibu – a performing art style combining dance with martial arts—to navigate the inner world of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai.
Activity organized in the context of the TopARTE program of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
